Thelen Receives 2008 Chambers Award for Excellence in Construction Law

NEW YORK -- Thelen LLP, an international law firm, has been honored with the 2008 Chambers Award for Excellence in Construction Law after being nominated along with other law firms, DLA Piper, Holland & Knight, Peckar & Abramson, and Watt Tieder.

Additionally, Chambers also released its 2008 Client's Guide to America's Leading Lawyers for Business June 13, which again describes Thelen's Construction practice as "the pre-eminent practice of its kind in the United States." The book also individually recognizes 29 of the firm's attorneys for leadership and excellence in the legal field.

"This is a significant achievement and it stands as testimony to the breadth and depth of the expertise Thelen brings to its clients and reflects the trust they have put in members of the firm over the years," said John Heisse Jr., chair of Thelen's Construction group.

Chambers compiles its rankings by interviewing clients and competitors and for that reason, Heisse says, the recognition is particularly noteworthy.
