The Business and Corporate Litigation group at Thelen LLP focuses on complex commercial cases. The group's lawyers offer unique trial capabilities, having successfully tried hundreds of cases in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Our lawyers are equally adept in the arbitration and mediation of commercial matters. And because a trial is often not the last word in litigation, the group provides comprehensive representation in the briefing and argument of appeals before all appellate tribunals up to and including the United States Supreme Court.

Our Business and Corporate Litigation group's experience includes:

  • Contractual disputes relating to banking and financial services, commercial paper and other disputes governed by the Uniform Commercial Code, investment banking, project finance, energy development, licensing and franchising, telecommunications, asset sales and valuations, and cross-border supply transactions.
  • Disputes between insurers and insureds regarding the scope of coverage available for commercial losses and liabilities, including catastrophic property damage, product defect liability, environmental liability, directors and officers liability, professional liability, and construction defect liability.
  • Class action defense concerning consumer goods, financial products, and investor services. Thelen lawyers are highly experienced at defending nationwide class actions, from inception through trial, including all aspects of the settlement approval process.
