Mr. Pringle's practice includes antitrust, unfair competition, securities and complex business litigation before federal and state courts in the United States and administrative tribunals. In addition, he has been active in criminal grand jury matters, contested mergers, and a variety of civil litigation including trade secrets and other intellectual property claims, contract disputes, fraud and RICO claims. He has also acted as counsel to corporate boards of directors and as special litigation counsel to corporate boards of directors in shareholder derivative actions. Mr. Pringle is currently firmwide head of the Antitrust/Competition practice and participates in the oversight of the firm's Commercial Litigation Department.
Mr. Pringle has been called upon to act as counsel for a number of Fortune 200 and Global 500 companies, both in the United States and abroad. Recent matters have included lead counsel in a worldwide cartel criminal investigation and follow-on class action litigation, lead counsel in a securities class action litigation, special litigation counsel to the board of directors of a major software company, lead counsel in the defense of litigation brought by the Attorney General of California against a major utility under Section 7 of the Clayton Act, representation of a major supermarket chain in defense of a litigation brought by the Attorney General of California arising out of the acquisition of generation assets in California, representation of a large supermarket chain in an antitrust action brought by the Attorney General of California arising out of a lengthy labor dispute between the major supermarket chains and their labor unions in the Los Angeles area, and representation of a party relating to the Enron grand jury matters.
